Now, as for taking care of 6 granddaughters -- it wasn't bad at all. My beauties are absolute angels -- well, most of the time. After all, they are girls and girls do tend to be clique-ish, even the young ones. So the biggest problem I had was counseling when feelings got hurt. They did have fun playing together and Billy's totally painful mouth has been fixed. Olivia slept the majority of the time and Isabel kept Great-grandma entertained with her smiles and coos. E, A, and C enjoyed the cheese quesadillas I fixed for lunch. Olivia finally woke up and we were able to enjoy her for about an hour or so. She, too, was all smiles and coos along with the bit a fussiness hunger brings on. It was a fun day.
BTW, gas at Costco in Tucson was $3.61 June 4 as of 12:05 PM. It cost me $137.00 to fill up the Suburban with 38 gallons but it should last us a couple of months because we don't drive it that often. Gas is $3.85 today in our town of Benson. What's the price where you live?
Coloring and dress-up -- what more could little girls ask for !
I brought Caitlyn and Danice home with me so Mom and Dad could have some romantic time together. They went to a concert in Phoenix. It was fun having them all to ourselves. Caitlyn helped Grandpa and Uncle Riley in the garden and Danica had fun exploring the house. Caitlyn did have a little bit of a rough time when it came time to go to bed but everything turned out OK when Grandma laid down with her until she fell asleep. Our morning was kept busy going to the food bank and grocery store. Then home for more dressup fun this time in Grandma's wedding dress. The "screaming yellow chicken" belongs to Grandpa.
Christy came and picked the girls up today at 12:30. I miss them already.
