how the Lord works to answer prayers. This may take a while, so stay with me if you are interested.
First -- As posted earlier, we purchased a car last Saturday to replace the one Rod has been driving. Now, what to do with the old one. It wasn't worth much except for the fairly new Michelin tires on it.
Next -- Rod works 4 10-hour days with every Sat-Mon off. But on holiday weeks, such as this past one, he reverts to 8-hour days. Monday evening as we were coming back from town, I suggested we stop and visit Rod's Uncle Waldo and Aunt Betty. Waldo is the Asst. Ward Mission Leader and he asked if Rod would like go with the Elders on Thursday. With his usual work schedule he is unable to but because of the shorter day, he said he would. The first place they went to was a sister who lives about 15 miles away and is in our sister ward. Her husband is disabled and has been taking the lessons. While talking with her, she tells them how she has been having a horrible time trying to get her car fixed. The mechanic she has been using had yet to get it fixed properly. She was practically in tears telling them she has little or no money to continue paying for repairs and had been praying for a solution. First he offers to look at her car and sees it needs a lot of work. Then he tells her about our car and offers to sell it to her being sure to mention what is wrong with it (ie.. air conditioner doesn't work) but that it is a very dependable car. She says she would like to see it.
Friday night, we drove it to her house and she fell in love with it in spite of all its problems and, after test driving it, in tears said it was an answer to her prayers -- we were an answer to her prayers. Today we got the title signed and notarized (luckily we have a notary in our ward), printed out a temporary permit for her and delivered the car to her.
Now, we find it "interesting" that (1) we just happened to stop and visit with Waldo (2) Waldo asked Rod to go with the Elders (3) it just happened to be a holiday week so he could go (4) she had been praying that day for help with her car (5) Rod and the Elders visit her home first (6) we just bought a new car 5 days prior making our old car available
Like I said -- it's interesting how the Lord works to answer prayers.

The Lord works in mysterious ways. Need I say more.
That was a great thing you guys did and it was meant to be you can see that.
